“The Toxic Avenger” at the theatre!

Hello my friends, happy 2022 to you all!!!

This new year could not start better for me: in fact, I will on stage with the musical “The Toxic Avenger”: a funny and irreverent show, for the first time on stage in Italy, in which I also worked for the adaptations of the lyrics in Italian.

I will play Melvin Ferd III, a nice guy – a little nerd and insecure – who turns into a mutant and toxic hero, ready to fight for the good of our planet.

Come and see us, you won’t regret it! We’ll be in Rome, at Teatro Lo Spazio, from Jan. 13th to Jan. 16th, and hopefully we’ll have many more shows all around the country in the next months!

Good morning, my friends! After these months of forced rest, I am so happy to see things starting up again. Among the projects in which I am involved there is also this one, closely linked to the social world and in which I work as an actor. I am in the regular cast of the web short-movies of “Story Impact Italia”, a series willing to give a positive social message, to let us reflect on our feelings and on everyday life. It is a beautiful project, with a dynamic and close-knit group, in which I play many different roles… sometimes nicer, sometimes meaner!

“Vous permettez, Aznavour?”: the concert in streaming!

Happy New Year, my friends! This period of forced inactivity is leading me to work behind the scenes on myself and on many future projects, ready to start again when possible. In the meantime, however, I am delighted to announce a good news.

Thanks to the Théâtre Français de Rome and the Antico Caffè Greco, a historic venue in the heart of the capital, we will stream the concert “Vous permettez, Aznavour?”: a precious opportunity for me to bring this project back to the stage, and for you to being able to enjoy the music of the great chansonnier comfortably seated on the sofa of your cottage!

The appointment is for Friday 12 February at 9.00 PM … Don’t miss it! In the meantime, you can see the trailer for the concert here.

Good morning, my friends! In these weeks of silence I worked on the promotion of the album and on the preparation of the live show. The period is obviously not the easiest one and the theatrical seasons have yet to be defined and fixed in many cases; despite this though, I am delighted to finally be able to announce the first concert date!

We will be on stage at the Teatro degli Eroi in Rome on 1st October 2020, the second anniversary of Aznavour’s death. A journey along sixteen songs, together with three extraordinary musicians (Mauro Scardini, Stefano Marazzi and Patrizio Sacco) and three fantastic female guests: Rosy Messina, Eleonora Segaluscio (both present in the duets of the disc) and Martina Cenere, whom I find again with great pleasure.

I’ll wait for you in Rome, Via Girolamo Savonarola 36/m at 8.45pm for the concert of “Vous permettez, Aznavour?” then.

Just 8 days left before the release of the CD “Vous permettez, Aznavour?”!

In the past few weeks I have made all the ritual presentations, but now here is a small preview: a video trailer with songs and backstage clips at PlayRec Recording Studio, where everything has been recorded and mixed by the talented Fabio Fraschini.

When we had to think about the graphic layout of the CD “Vous permettez, Aznavour?” I found myself in front of many possible directions: how to communicate a “sacred” and historical repertoire like the one of the great chansonnier, trying to combine respect for him with my identity?

My great friend Fabio Mereghetti (art director for many years for Warner Bros) took care of all the graphic part of the booklet and suggested that I would think about one of the most intimate places for those who step on stage: the dressing room.
I imagined then approaching Aznavour’s “loge”, perhaps before or after one of his concerts, and timidly knocking on the door, asking him in some way for his assent to be able to approach his songs and try to reinterpret them in my own way.

Who knows if Monsieur Charles would have agreed, perhaps he would have smiled slyly and declaimed some lines of one of his songs:

“Forgive me if I have nothing in common with any of you,

I am a histrion to whom the scene gives the right dimension”
